Mik 0 Posted January 25, 2000 I've been running Windows 2000 Pro for a few days but something odd happened when I booted up this morning. My taskbar shortcut icons had vanished and I can no longer add any. Right-clicking on the taskbar does absolutely nothing. Anyone ever experienced this before and know how to restore full taskbar functionality? Share this post Link to post
ByronT 0 Posted January 25, 2000 Have you checked to see if you're using Personalized Menus - where the OS decides if you're using something enough to keep it quickly accessable? Right Click on the TaskBar and choose Properties. See if "Use Personalized Menus" is checked (and then uncheck it, if this is the problem.) Hope this helps. ------------------ J. Mik 0 Posted January 26, 2000 That really didn't do anything. Also, the taskbar was so messed up that right-clicking didn't even pop up a menu. The settings had to be accessed from Start->Settings->Taskbar & Start Menu. Fortunately, I did seem to fix it somehow. I rebooted about ten times and the taskbar icons suddenly reappeared. This is one of the weirdest Windows glitches I've ever experienced. Thanks anyways. Share this post Link to post
