Xetenor 0 Posted February 12, 2000 Hello, I need to know how I can convert my hard drive into a FAT32 file system from NTFS. I tried installing Partition Magic v5.0 Pro, but it doesn't run with Windows 2000. I need some help. Are there any programs that can convert? I cannot format because I have too many important files. ------------------ Windows 2000 Pro owns! Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted February 12, 2000 I do know know of any programs that can convert NTFS 5 to FAT16 or FAT 32. Supposedly Powerquest is working on a patch to implement this into Partition Magic 5.0 but I am not sure. The easiest thing to do would be to make an extra FAT16 or 32 partition or to stick in a second HD. Share this post Link to post

Fireman 0 Posted February 12, 2000 Hi Xetenor, One tip for you: If you got access to another pc just install Partition Magic 5 there - the DOS part of it only uses above 1Mb, so it should fit on a disk (or ZIP or burn it on a CD!) As it has NTFS support you should bve able to boot your pc from a bootdisk, start pqmagic from cd or another disk and change NTFS back to FAT32.. Hope it works for you! ------------------ Ciao, Robert --- Share this post Link to post
