LoW_beta 0 Posted February 21, 2000 Hi, I heard there was a version of TweakUI that works in Win2K. I tried the Win2K version from betabites and it was a no go. I get to the dialog that says this should be run from the control panel, yes or no. Once I hit yes it doesn't do anything. I'm using the final retail of Win2K. Anyone get it working? Thanks Share this post Link to post
FlyingPenguin 0 Posted February 21, 2000 TWeak UI works with Win9x, NT, and Win2K just fine. There is no special version for Win2K that I'm aware of. I have it installed right now under Win2K. I like to have my Favorites folder relocated to a data partition for easy system backups. ------------------ --- The Flying Penguin http://voodooextreme.com/flypenguin [This message has been edited by FlyingPenguin (edited 21 February 2000).] Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted February 21, 2000 Hmm mine is working fine. Did you install it in these steps? 1. Right-Click on tweakui.inf and choose install from the menu. 2. Go into your control panel and there should be a new TweakUI icon in there. If there isn't you can get a new copy from www.win2kbox.cjb.net Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted February 21, 2000 There Is a W2K-specific version of TweakUI. MS made it available on their NT-beta FTP site some time ago. It has additional options over the NT4/W9x version, and you can find it at ftp://ftp.globular.com/w2k/tweakui.zip Share this post Link to post
