Ok let me elaborate, of course I could do that if my hibernation tab was available in the power options. But it has disappeard, I'm strongly guessing due to a driver, but I'd like to get rid of the hiberfil.sys file which is taking up about 600MBs. When I try to delete it, it says the file is in use. So I have no option to turn off hibernation cause the tab had disappeared so I'm SOL right now.

Excellent suggestion, tried it, but still now luck. Still got the same error message. So I managed to track down NTFSDOS Professional, booted my system using a boot disk, ran NTFSDOS Pro, and blew the hiberfil.sys file away!!!

...Finally!!!

Thx 4 The Suggestions.
