hxrick 0 Posted February 24, 2000 off the topic here but which one of these cooling programs works with athlon processors. Share this post Link to post
Jerry - 0 Posted February 24, 2000 You only need those if you are running windoze98, nt/2k have system idle process built in which halts the cpu and uses about 16kb of memory. Share this post Link to post

Darth Bobo 0 Posted February 24, 2000 You might want to give CPUIdle a try. It reduced the temps on my dual Win2K box by about 20 degrees F. I don't think the System Idle process really does anything to help keep the CPU cool. Share this post Link to post
Igor 0 Posted February 24, 2000 THe build-in idle process in Win2k only works for a single CPU setup, if u have duel u need to get cpuidle pro 1.0. That is the only version that officialy designed for Win2k & duel CPU's. Rain only works under 98 Share this post Link to post
Jerry - 0 Posted February 24, 2000 Yes system idle does'nt work with dual cpu's, for that you need cpuidle. But since there are no dual k7 systems around, hence system idle process. Share this post Link to post
