Kyosho46vr 0 Posted March 28, 2000 After th e SBLive! relaese drivers took my system down and I re-formatted my monitor and power saving features were changeable and correct. But since loading drivers for my Dxr3, which are the OEM Hollywood Plus, I lose my monitor description (Hitachi CM751)and my power saving does not respond. Any similar problems, or suggestions? LoW_beta 0 Posted March 28, 2000 Good, I'm not the only one having this problem with Win2K. I'm using a Viewsonic P815 and NVIDIA TNT2 Ultra. Every video driver I've tried does the same thing, so it could be Windows itself. I remember this happening when Win98 first came out. Usually my monitor profile in the device manager will revert to 'Default Monitor' and to fix I just remove it then have Windows search for new hardware and my monitor shows up again. Doesn't happen much but usually on a reboot, cold mostly. Share this post Link to post
Kyosho46vr 0 Posted March 28, 2000 I cant remove the "Default Monitor" to install a different one. And I cant add one either. Ned Share this post Link to post
LoW_beta 0 Posted March 29, 2000 When you highlight 'Default Monitor' in the device manager did you try to click the uninstall icon? if that works then click the icon with the magnifying glass to scan for hardware changes. If that doesn't work then I'm not sure what else to try. Good luck. Share this post Link to post
