Notes:

* CentOS AWS Images are released as AMI's that use the grub bootloader,

and therefore retain the ability to run and update the standard CentOS

kernel.

* These images are available across all regions and all availability

zones supported by AWS.

* The images have no extra charges to use.

* t1.micro instance of these images are suitable for the free usage tier

at AWS.

* Only a minimal package set is included in the images to keep size down

and allow maximum flexibility in deployment roles.

*IMPORTANT* The images are released with two sets of release tags.

Images tagged as -6- are updated, most current images that we recommend

everyone use. The other set of images are tagged as -6.3- and represent

package sets at 6.3 release time. More details about this can be found

on the Release Notes page at http://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/AWS

About the CentOS Cloud SIG

We are a group of people looking to address issues and help people with

CentOS adoption in the cloud. Both as a cloud platform and as consumer

images. A small but growing group, we hang out on the CentOS Virt list (

http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos-virt ) and on the

#centos-virt irc channel. Everyone with an interest in CentOS,

Virtualisation, Cloud and related technologies is welcome to join in.

These AWS images are developed, curated and released as a part of the

CentOS Cloud SIG efforts.

----------------------

I'd like to thank everyone who helped with this release including the

guys at AWS Marketplace. Tru Huynh for all the work helping with the

image builds, the automation, testing and release work. Aaron Dunlop for

testing and writing the Amazon CLI page in the wiki, JP Mens for his

testing work and his Ansible page contribution in the wiki. Fabian

Arrotin, James B. Byrne, Matthew Li, Steve Jones and Rajen V for their

help with testing and feedback.

Enjoy!
