A-guy 0 Posted June 5, 2000 Hey heres what I did. I reinstalled winMe on my c drive but I did this by formatting c and reinstalling. And win2k is on d. I tried booting off the cd and hitting repair but it couldnt locate the win2k installation. So I went into the command console and hit fixmbr and then fixboot. Genius. ANyways it said "couldnt load ntldr" or something like that. So i reinstalled winMe and I sorta made a repair disk by copying some files from the winnt/repair directory. It seemed to work except after it checked the disk for problems it gave me a bsod and told me to adjust some cache bios settings. I havent tried that yet but will if I cant do this another way. Am I just an idiot if so somebody please help. Share this post Link to post
Palos 0 Posted June 13, 2000 Well, you seem to do a good job at ****ing up the MBR and the bootloader files, lol...i suggest wipe out everything, install win98 or ME or whatever, then install w2k, so it picks it up in the bootloader menu Share this post Link to post
