ACID 0 Posted June 24, 2000 This update is from the creative soundblaster live news group Harvey Fong of creative wrote "I guess all of us, including the folks in Singapore thought everything would be hunkydory and the new Live!Ware would be well on it's way to the users by now. I'm sure you've already figured out that this isn't all good news. It seems that the driver portion is still not back from getting it's WHQL bit turned on (it was expected back last Monday). The only bit of reassurance is that it has indeed passed the requirements for WHQL compliance. At this point everyone is still hoping for next week. Will post updates as I get them. -- Harvey Fong Technical Marketing Spe[censored]t Audio Products Creative Labs Inc. <A HREF="http://www.soundblaster.com"" TARGET=_blank>http://www.soundblaster.com"</A> i guess there is still hope for us! Dragon-Lord 0 Posted June 24, 2000 the last driver set passed WHQL compliance too, so I am not holding my breath. That one incident ended any hope I had that WHQL/WDM approval would actually mean something. fingers crossed (but turning blue by now), :} Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted June 24, 2000 cool. At least we have some news better than being left in the dark. Share this post Link to post
Cardinal 0 Posted June 26, 2000 Yeah dragon makes a good point. certification means jack sh*t. Nvidia's 'certified' tnt drivers gave me hangs and reboots. Wish someone released a few leaked versions of creatives mess they call 'liveware' Share this post Link to post
cryptix 0 Posted June 30, 2000 This was posted today on the Creative Newsgroup: The drivers have been received from MS. At this point, it looks like they may be posted some time next week (probably towards the end of the week). This is kind of lousy timing since we are going into a 4 day holiday weekend and won't be back until the middle of the week, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. -- Harvey Fong Technical Marketing Spe[censored]t Audio Products Creative Labs Inc. http://www.soundblaster.com Share this post Link to post
Gambler FEX online 0 Posted July 1, 2000 Seems like this is it, good timing with 3dmark 2000 v1.1 and dungeon keeper patch v1.7 Both of these programs now work very nice in win2k Share this post Link to post
