Quitclaim 0 Posted June 29, 2000 Just curious. Anyone know if WinME can view NTFS partitions in a dual boot setup with Win2K? Or is it like Win98 which cannot? Share this post Link to post
Battleship 0 Posted June 29, 2000 I dont beleive it can seeing as it is really just win98 3rd edition and there is no real filesystem change. I might be wrong though. I played around with it and didnt like it. I'm back with the sweetest OS Win2k. Good luck Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted June 30, 2000 9x does not support NTFS without a third party utlitity. ------------------ C:\Dos C:\Dos\Run \Run\Dos\Run Share this post Link to post
Quitclaim 0 Posted June 30, 2000 Thanks. That's what I assumed. However, given Microsoft's anticompetitive nature and history of usurping the ideas of others, I'm surprised they didn't include NTSF support in WinME to make such 3rd party utilities useless. (Sorry, but I just can't resist a little MS bashing if given the opportunity). Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted July 1, 2000 They didn't include NTFS support for security reasons probably. Share this post Link to post
