Tassos Kouris 0 Posted July 27, 2000 It seems right , since I started the topic, it has to be me to finish it. The solution to all the problems is to remove the conflict between WMP7 and Adaptec Easy CD Creator which is the cause of all the BSOD. Adaptec posted a workaround method in their site(http://www.adaptec.com/support/faqs/wmp.html) and there is also a reference article in: http://www.mercurycenter.com/svtech/news/indepth/docs/window072700.htm. The gist of it is to uninstall Easy CD Creator, to install WMP7, and then install Easy CD Creator v. 402c. I tried it and now both programs work fine... I hope this will help all with WMP7 in Win2k... Tassos ------------------ Tassos Share this post Link to post
DocSilly 0 Posted July 27, 2000 This ain't gonna help me. I have EZ CD 3.5 and it won't work with it in any way. So here I am, forced to make a decission: - Keep WMP7 (bloatware) and BUY EZ CD 4.0 for some $$ to keep WMP7 (bloatware). or - Keep EZ CD 3.5c and give WMP7 (bloatware) the finger. tough decission ..... NOT. WMP 6.4 does the job nice and unbloated, I only hope that WMP 7 is NOT included in SP1. I don't feel the urge to upgrade my EZ CD 3.5c since I only burn a CD here and there. Nonetheless, thx for the follow up and the new info. [This message has been edited by DocSilly (edited 28 July 2000).] Share this post Link to post
