INFERNO2000 0 Posted July 28, 2000 Is there anyway to replace the ntoskrnl.exe in W2k? It seems to be crashing whenever I do a virus check... Or would W2K SP1 have a new version that I should wait for? Share this post Link to post
MarksmanX 0 Posted July 29, 2000 I had this error once when I installed a new video card. The only way around this for me was a clean install of Windows 2000. MarksmanX 0 Posted July 29, 2000 From the date you have provided. It has to be the NAV CD 7.01. Have you tried other Virus checkers and get the same error? ------------------ Supermicro P6DBE Rev 3.0 Motherboard Dual Intel Pentium III 850 512 MEGS of ECC RAM Sound Blaster Live! INFERNO2000 0 Posted July 29, 2000 No, but I do have Nav2k for NT, and I guess I can try it as well.... It has happened in other applications, it's just that (when) Norton scans c:, I get a lot of files coming up saying "Windows protection error" and prompt me for the cd to restore the files...and eventually-and without fail, it bsods.
