ntoskrnl.exe replacement?

Recommended Posts

Is there anyway to replace the ntoskrnl.exe in W2k? It seems to be crashing whenever I do a virus check...

Or would W2K SP1 have a new version that I should wait for?

I had this error once when I installed a new video card. The only way around this for me was a clean install of Windows 2000. What Virus Scanner are you using by the way?

From the date you have provided. It has to be the NAV CD 7.01. Have you tried other Virus checkers and get the same error?

No, but I do have Nav2k for NT, and I guess I can try it as well....

It has happened in other applications, it's just that (when) Norton scans c:, I get a lot of files coming up saying "Windows protection error" and prompt me for the cd to restore the files...and eventually-and without fail, it bsods.
