Guest Posted August 2, 2000 Ahh yes, the wonderful service pack 1 has arrived. The cure all to any Win2k problem. Well just so happens that after I install it, my TCP/IP stack just goes to hell. I can sign on, but I can't do anything online. I havn't done much puckering with it yet so I dont have any proposed solutions or anything. Just some food for thought. Write back if you guys have any problems ------------------ ********************************************** ---Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.--- ********************************************** Pentium II 450@504 4.5X112 128MB PC100 SDRAM Diamond Viper V770 Ultra Sound Blaster Live! radu185 0 Posted August 2, 2000 are you by chance running ZoneAlarm firewall? If so, try uninstalling SP1(if you backed up files), set Internet Security to Medium in ZA, then re-install SP1 Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted August 2, 2000 Thanx Radu. I was running ZoneAlarm when I was having all those probs.... since I jumped to conclusions... I just reinstalled Win2k and installed Sp1 first thing. So right now, with SP1 installed before I ever even touched ZoneAlarm, all seems well. I'm gonna go give ZoneAlarm an install now and see what happens. Thanx a bunch. ------------------ ********************************************** ---Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.--- ********************************************** Pentium II 450@504 4.5X112 128MB PC100 SDRAM Diamond Viper V770 Ultra Sound Blaster Live!
