Four and Twenty 0 Posted September 22, 2000 Is there any way to make a program that doesn't run in the systray run in the systray. For instance I like to have Outlook run all the time but I would rather have it in the tray than on the taskbar to free up some space for other ****, is there a way to make this happen? Programs like winamp have this option built in which is nice I think that Outlook should too. ------------------ My System Dell Demension XPS T500 Triple Boot Windows 2000 Pro 2195 (allways reliable) Windows Whistler Pro 2250 (cool but buggy)Windows Millennium Final (waste of disk space) PIII @ 500 Mhz (with after market heatsink and dual fan) 256 Megs Ram TNT2 Ultra Graphics Card Matrox Millennium PCI (for second monitor) 3Com 10/100 Ethernet Card 3Com 56k Modem 12.6 Gig IBM HD 40X CD Rom Drive 100 Mb Zip Drive MS Optical Mouse Share this post Link to post
Down8 0 Posted September 22, 2000 I have heard of a third party program that does this, but I don't think it is built into Windows itself. Sorry, I don't remember where I heard this, but it's out there. -bZj Share this post Link to post
Rik 0 Posted September 22, 2000 I'm positive I have seen at least one program for this, can't remember the name though. If you have a scour round http://www.winfiles.com there is bound to be something there. Share this post Link to post
DFB 0 Posted September 22, 2000 Trayer does this. I used to use it with the NT Command line for Seti@Home. I've never actually tried it with windows apps, but I'd assume it works just as well as it does for dos windows. http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10105-100-1541861.html?tag=st.dl.10001_103_1.lst.td_1541861 Share this post Link to post
