Netscape6 Preview3

Recommended Posts

Has any one taken a look at PR3? I must say they have really gotten the look down! Very sharp! Most of the major bugs seem to be gone, although I can't install Quicktime plug-ins or scroll with my mouse wheel for some odd reason. Their new Gecko engine is also pretty sweet, I don't really see any dif between Netscape6 and IE5.5 and this is still a "beta". Way to go Netscape (I can't bring myself to send congrats to AOHell). Hopefully they can iron out things and get the real release out soon.

although it's still in the testing stage i think it's really good- kinda slow at the moment but still a good alternative to Microsoft (anything but Microsoft!)

Is PR3 worth downloading on a (relatively) slow modem connection? I try to like Netscape, but the 4.x line has turned me off due to its bugginess. PR1 was a nice release for an early alpha, but it just can't compete with the officially released versions. I hope it all works out well for version 6...competition is always a good thing!
