Goronok 0 Posted October 6, 2000 I was curious as to how you can remove things from the sys tray in win 2k. I know how to do it in 98 and Me, but its not quite the same. I know if you go into system information it will tell you what is starting up in the sys tray, but there isnt any way to remove the things from that list. Could anyone tell me how to do this?? KJ1999 0 Posted October 17, 2000 Try this utility...works like Startup tab in MSCONFIG... www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml It's case sensitive it seems! So type that in exactly! Share this post Link to post
Beeker50 0 Posted October 18, 2000 Is there a way to do it in Win2k without any third party software? Rik 0 Posted October 18, 2000 Msconfig works O.K. in Win2000, it just gives a couple of error messages at the start regarding autoexec.bat and config.sys, which can be ignored. Share this post Link to post
KJ1999 0 Posted October 19, 2000 Nope, not really! Unless you edit the "run" entry in the Registry. Believe me, you are much better off using the utility! I do, it works great! Share this post Link to post
