Stevie 0 Posted December 6, 2000 i got this strange lockup when just doing my stuff with win2k. after a certain time the computer pauses for like 3 seconds and everything stops to work: sound, HD light stands still, mouse is locked... i once had a mem manager in my system where i could see the actual memory load. before the lockup it was usualy above 6 MB and after the lockup it was like 60 MB. is that some kind of memory management ? i mean a computer cant lockup just because it frees memory (not even the HD does noises while it hangs). i hope some1 could help. its pretty nasty when u burn cds and the system stands still for 3 secs which causes a buffer underun... greets stevie Share this post Link to post
