INFERNO2000 0 Posted December 6, 2000 I reformatted my PC this evening because I was stupid and didn't read the directions to my Promise UDMA 100 controller. Anyway....I reinstalled all my software, and I'm getting a big snag at my Norton software. the Liveupdate that came with it(1.6) was fine. I installe the update to LiveUpdate(1.63), and it stops working..says it can't get out..even though I'm on the internet(else how could I write this?). Any ideaS? Share this post Link to post
Bursar 0 Posted December 6, 2000 I have occaisional problems with this (not sure of my version of LibveUpdate). It only ever does it at home on my dial up. My leased line connection at work never has problems. I presume it's something to do with the dial up connection. If I disconnect and reconnect again, everything normally works fine. I usually find that when I have this problem, I also have problems accessing websites. A bit like the DNS/DHCP servers aren't working properly or something. Share this post Link to post
