Silent-IQ 0 Posted December 30, 2000 When i installed the new Via 4in1 drivers in win2kpro, the drivers install some Via Ultra ATA controller drivers that replace the win2k ones for my MOBO. Everything works fine and looks good under device manager...but you see, i got my dvd-rom and yamaha burner on one channel and when i try to burn, i get an error message saying the media could not be created or something and burning fails...if i uninstall the drivers for the IDE channels...i can burn again without any problems...anyone more had this problem? --------------- Dual P3 600Mhz on 133Mhz bus (coppermine) 256Mb PC133 3D Prophet Geforce 256 Promisse ULTRA ATA100 SBLive 1024! 3Com 10/100 Network adapter Dxr3 Mpeg card WinTV PCI one 60Gb Deskstar IBM one 27Gb deskstar IBM one 46gb deskstar IBM Yamaha 8/4/24 Aopen 10/40 DVDrom Share this post Link to post
Qun Mang 0 Posted December 31, 2000 Same problem here. One of my HDs wouldn't run in UDMA mode, so I installed the new, apparently beta, drivers. When I went to use Nero, same thing, so now I'm back to the old drivers with one HD in PIO mode. Oh, well. Anyway, here's a link to the topic on the hardware board: Via BM driver 580_3011 affects CD writer software. [ December 31, 2000: Message edited by: Qun Mang ] Share this post Link to post
