Windows 2000 Freezing.

OK heres something that will drive you nuts.. god knows its driving me nuts.

 

I have a DELL Dimension XPS t600r.

256mdsram

montegobay 2 sound card

diamond viper v770d vid card

Hp 9100 8x/4x/4x cdr

 

 

I install windows 2000 and for no apparent reason it freezes and locks up on me.I thought i narrowed it down to the sound drivers.. but I couldnt get it to duplicate the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? I am as I know it up to date on all avaliable drivers.. video etc.
