Corinthian 0 Posted February 4, 2001 Whenever I have to press the reset button, on reboot I find that all my Temporary Internet Files are deleted. The temp folder is on a different hard drive than the Windows installation. Using Windows 2000 with SP1 and IE5.5 with SP1. Wazzup with that ? Share this post Link to post

Corinthian 0 Posted February 8, 2001 The box is not ticked. This only happens if I, after the pc crash, have to press the reset button. It has never happened after a normal shutdown or reboot. I do notice that the pc takes a little longer to boot after a crash. Right before the desktop comes up, there is lots of disk activity for 10-20 seconds. I guess this is when the files are deleted. BUT WHY ? [This message has been edited by Corinthian (edited 09 February 2001).] Share this post Link to post
lexluthor 0 Posted February 9, 2001 ahhh, on a crash like that the 'puter doesnt write whats written in memory to the hd. the extra time is windows checking things because of the abnormal shutdown... just a guess but temp internet files wouldnt be a priority. Share this post Link to post
