Kaiser 0 Posted February 9, 2001 Mornin/Afternoon/Evenin all...(depends on your point of view really) I see that Netscape has updated to version 6.01.....anyone had a chance to try this yet? (I'm in work at the moment so I can't) Are there any major changes or does it fix some of the "issues" with the last version? Thanks for any input....... Galilee 0 Posted February 9, 2001 After I found out how much memory (ram) Netscape use I will never tough it again. Above 20MB for 1 window. And its just adding up for each window. IE use around 10-15 per window. Opera on the other hand use around 7Mb for the first window, and 2MB for each additional window. If Opera had a password manager and a auto-form completion feature I would change from IE today. [This message has been edited by Galilee (edited 09 February 2001).] Share this post Link to post
Down8 0 Posted February 10, 2001 Opera does have an atuo-fill function. Look for it. I am 78% into my NS6.01 download. I'll try to get back here and let you know. -bZj Share this post Link to post
Xiven 0 Posted February 12, 2001 I would really recommend that you go to http://www.mozilla.org and download Mozilla 0.7 It's a pretty damned reliable version and it's Netscape 6 without the baggage. If Opera supported the Document Object Model properly then it would seriously kick butt and I would probably switch from IE too. Maybe in the next version.... -- Xiven [This message has been edited by Xiven (edited 12 February 2001).] Share this post Link to post
