Chical 0 Posted February 15, 2001 Is there a way to remotly control task manager? For instance if I run a app that completly locks my system, even from ctrl-alt-delete I wanna be able to go to my other system, get into task manager on the system thats locked up, and terminate the app. Is this possible? Thanks. Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted February 16, 2001 I don't think that terminal services is available on Pro, and it wouldn't access everything that's running on a system. You will only see what processes are running in your context, whereas something like Exchange wouldn't show up. Now, if you run the Terminal Services Manager on the server you are connecting to, you can expand the server you are on and get to the "console" portion. In there, you will see a list of all the system processes running and their IDs. In this case, you could use the "Kill" utility from the NT Server Resource kit and end the process using its PID. ------------------ Regards, clutch Share this post Link to post
