all suitable storage systems like disk, tape, optical, object storage and cloud. By these policies

the administrator can define that only specific data is archived. The File Tiering solution has

additional functions like data protection and data security, which ensure that the archived data is

protected against modification and manipulation. Furthermore PoINT Storage Manager offloads the

primary storage by using File Tiering and thus cost-intensive storage extensions can be avoided.
