zalem 0 Posted March 27, 2000 Why does it take so long time for win2k pro, to browse the network? Have a 100 MBit network using tcp/ip and netbeui! It takes far more longer time than in win98/winnt4, with the same hardware. Does anyone have a suggestion? Share this post Link to post

Ekstreme 0 Posted March 27, 2000 Turn off TCP/IP Netbios helper under services. I had the same prob (NT4 and 2000), although it's still not quite as fast as 98 browsing the network, it's definately tollerable. Share this post Link to post
Andersony 0 Posted March 28, 2000 I got a reply from one of the MS newsgroups saying that it was a known bug - and that its looking for the "Task Schedule Share". To be fixed in SP1 ? So, I've been living with the problem. I've since just mapped drives to other computer in the network. Share this post Link to post
